NAMCO BANDAI Games today revealed information and assets for the six new plane variants for Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation that will be available for download from the Xbox LIVE Marketplace on Thursday, January 31. Featuring classic squadron themes from previous entries in the Ace Combat series and several original designs, these new plane updates let players experience their favorite aircraft online and in the game’s single player campaign with a new look and enhanced capabilities.

A MegaGames reader who didn’t reveal his name noticed that the magazine is called 360 Live and translated that “the german equivalent of the MPAA (FSK) has cut this game drastically. Almost no blood and no gibs for the German players”.

Original Story:
A scan from an unnamed German magazine has been floating around the internet today and revealing that the Xbox 360 version of Unreal Tournament 3 is 90% complete.

If the article is to be trusted, Unreal Tournament 3 will Xbox 360 sometime in April, 2008.

Development of the Xbox 360 version of the game has been going well until three months ago when Epic decided to concentrate on the Playstation 3 version.

Ubisoft announced today that Far Cry 2 is being developed for both Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.

According to the official press release: “More than just a visual and technological achievement, Far Cry 2 immerses players in an entirely new kind of gaming experience, featuring a custom-made video game engine built from the ground up. Players will discover a true open world gameplay set in one of the most beautiful environments in the world, Africa, brought to life by high-definition next-gen technology.”

Far Cry 2 is being created by Ubisoft’s Montreal development studio and is scheduled to ship Ubisoft’s 2008-2009 fiscal year.
